Build your own Summer Camp

Classes by the week

Each solid week is structured with compatible morning and afternoon classes followed by an optional Open Studio in the evening. You may register for one or both classes each week. For more on each class, follow the links in the schedule below.

Open Studio

All the inspiration without the instruction. These evening sessions are opportunites to sharpen your skills in the company of others. Erin will set up a subject and draw/paint along. You do not have to be in a class to participate. Bring media of your choice. Email to rsvp. $20/night.

Past Class Descriptions

Drawing Foundations

Drawing class focused on sighting training. Good for everone from beginners to rusty pros. Arms you with tools for tackling perspective, volume, angles, contours, proportion, and more.

Introduction to Oil Painting

Low pressure exercises to get you off to a good start. Focus on use of the materials, breaking down the steps of direct painting from life, and developing an eye for values and color mixing.

Oil Painting Classes (A&B)

Uses the still life as a means to focus on improving tonal effect, brushwork, composition, color harmony, among other aspects.

Drawing Classes (A&B)

Working with charcoal at easels to improve drawing accuracy & aesthetic qualities through study of casts and still life subjects.
